Ethics and data protection in open source, community based projects

Regulation on ethics in research and data protection is taking shape, with the EU’s GDPR coming into force in less than a year in the EU. What is the potential for this to make anyone except very large and well-moneyed orgs viable to do research and data protection? The format of the session is a seminar and clinic with open peer review, modelled on a CERN format.

Medicine is above all the practice of building a healthy and happy future. It’s culture is not that of responsibility, and reaction, but one of accountability and proactive construction.

Like all festival sessions, this is an open conversation on the edgeryders forum. Learn more, ask questions and help shape it! CONTRIBUTE HERE.
