Day 2: Mechanics of care
The idea of care is paramount in our lives. It affects all aspects of our society yet can often be illusory and seemingly beyond our control.
OpenCare, started two years ago as an idea, has developed into a showcase of the ways in which we collectively have been working to understand care, deliver care, and create worlds in which our care is paramount.
As current models of control manipulate us through the access of “health” and “care”, a massive decentralized, community has struggled to retake that control. The OpenVillage Festival will highlight these projects and processes, allowing us to learn from previous experiences and find ways to collaborate across any obstacle. Lastly, as we all intuit, we must be active particpants in the future. As such, we will create sessions where we can experiment with collective building process and developing activities for caring within the city.
Meeting point and day venue: Au Quai, Quai du Hainaut 23, Brussels.
Making of the schedule is a collaborative, ongoing work. Find the latest here.
